School Dance Festival

Every year the kids school does a dance festival the last week of school.  Each grade performs one or two dances that they have practiced for the last couple of weeks.  It is a lot of fun to watch the kids dance.  Both boys did such a great job (and I took a TON of pictures - I just can't get enough of my cute boys)!  Dallin loved that his dance was to a song from the movie Cars.  Matthew thought it was fun to do something he has watched Dallin do for the last two years.

36 Week Update

I am officially 36 weeks today!!!!!!  I had a non-stress test today and a doctors visit and both babies are doing great.  Unfortunately, baby girl is breech (head up) and baby boy is transverse (sideways).  But there is still plenty of room (I don't know how) for them to flip again.   

Good news is the doctor has scheduled me for a c-section and induction on June 12 (38 weeks).  He scheduled me for both since we don't know what position the babies will be in - and with the way these babies move, we won't know until the last minute which it is going to be (if it is like today - it will be a c-section).  But so far, it is looking like I will make it to 38 weeks - at least nothing is going to happen any time too soon since I am dilated to a ZERO.  The doctor said nothing is happening - which really is good, right?  I can't believe I only have 14 days (at most) left!

I also added a survey to find out how big everyone thinks the twins will be.  So, vote for what you think their COMBINED weight will be.  And if you think I don't have a big enough weight on the list, you are just mean.  I would love to know what everyone thinks - so vote and even leave a comment with your guess.  We will know for sure in 14 days (if not sooner).

Well Child Check-ups for Gavin & Brecken

I was able to sneak in 2 well child visits at once (okay - one was over a month late) before the twins come (and after my mom got here to help me since it is near impossible for me to pick up Brecken anymore).  They are both healthy and doing great!  Brecken is finally on track with his brothers as far as height goes - but I don't know what is going on with his weight (he is only in the 75% for weight).  Anyway - they are both healthy and happy and that is what matters!

Happy 4th Birthday Gavin!

My sweet little guy turned 4 yesterday!  He has seemed much older than 3 for a long time - so it is nice to finally be able to say he is actually 4.  

I was feeling so bad that I wasn't giving him a party with a few of his friends - I just couldn't do it this year - but I think his birthday turned out okay.  I did manage to buy him a few presents and make him a Yoshi birthday cake.  At first, he wanted a Bowser cake but luckily, he changed his mind and wanted a Yoshi cake (for those who don't have little boys, they are both characters in Super Mario Brothers).  After Church, we opened presents and had cupcakes.  That night, we had some friends over for cake and ice cream so in his mind, he did have a party.  Happy Birthday Gavin!  We love you!

He was so funny all day.  He had been asking for weeks if he was 4 yet so when we asked him on his birthday if he was 4 yet, he said, "No, not until I eat birthday cake."  What a silly boy!  So, finally, after we ate Yoshi cake, he said he was 4!

Gavin's Opinion of Mommy at 35 Weeks

While Gavin was eating breakfast yesterday, he very seriously said, 

"Mom, first you were a skinny girl."

Then he paused and said,

"Now you are fat."

What a way to start the day!  At least he started with the fact that I use to be skinny!  But who can blame him for thinking I am fat - look at the pictures - I am HUGE!

Yesterday I was officially 35 weeks pregnant!!!!!  Hopefully I can make it at least another week or two.  But at most, I only have to make it 20 more days (as of today)!  I am miserable and would like to be done being pregnant, but for the twins sake, I hope they stay in until 38 weeks!  My mom comes today so there is hope that I can make it to 38 weeks since I will be able to rest more!  Everyone is very excited for her to come!

fun in AF Canyon

Ed has been so great, especially during this pregnancy, about doing fun things with the boys.  A few weeks ago, him and his brother Richard took the 5 big kids (Dallin, Matthew, Gavin and Richard's 2 kids) up AF canyon for a little picnic and hike.  The kids all had a great time, even though it started to rain.

Gavin Tax

Gavin is such a funny little guy.  I love that just because there is "Daddy Tax" there must also be "Gavin Tax".  He is so cute and serious when he says it, that I don't even mind when he drinks my drink or eats my food.

Mother's Day

My scrapbook pages aren't very exciting or great - but my Mother's Day was.  Ed let me sleep in, the boys made me breakfast in bed, then Ed took the big 3 to Church, came home and put the baby down for a nap and let me take a 3 hour nap, and then made me dinner.   Not to mention, Ed and the 2 big boys bought be these beautiful flowers.  And my cute little guys all made me stuff at school.  I especially love the book Matthew made me - in it he says I am 7 feet tall with dark hair and purplish eyes - what a cutie!  

Oh, I forgot to mention that Ed even got me a massage.  I just have to decide if I want to try to go while I am still pregnant or if I will wait until after I have the babies and recover a little.  Either way, thanks babe!  I can't wait to go!

Dallin's Piano Recital

Dallin had his second piano recital last night.  It was so much fun to listen to him play, especially his second song - he played a duet with Ed.  Dallin was so excited to play a song with his daddy - and they had so much fun practicing together & playing last night.  Dallin definitely played his songs better at home but he still did a GREAT job!  He loves playing the piano and has progressed so much since he started just about 1.5 years ago.  I just can't believe how much he has grown up!

Bike Ride to Eaglecrest

Last weekend, Ed took the 2 big boys on a bike ride to their elementary school, Eaglecrest.  They loved getting to go on a bike ride with their daddy (since he goes on bike rides all the time).  They had a great time!

FYI - I only have 29 days left, at most, until I have the twins.  So, even though I haven't blogged much at all these days, I haven't had them yet - just been extremely exhausted.

Gavin - "I Love Stinky Things"

Gavin cracks me up!  He was taking his shoes off and said he his shoe was stinky.  Then he said,

"I need to smell my other shoe and make sure it is stinky too.  I love stinky things.  Pee uuuueeeeeeee!"

What a gross and silly little guy!

Playtime for Brecken

I don't have much (okay, any) energy to play with Brecken these days.  Luckily, he is very good (and creative) at playing by himself.  I did manage to take some picture of him having fun - I couldn't resist, he is just so cute.  I am so lucky to have a little guy that plays so well - and most of the time he will play by himself.  What a cutie!

I LOVE Children's Place

I LOVE Children's Place (at least for boy clothes - I have never shopped for girls there, at least not yet).  Especially when they have their "monster" sales.  Sometimes it is hard to find the sizes you want, but if you do, you can find some real deals.  Dallin & Matthew needed some more t-shirts to finish the school year and really for the summer.  I ended up getting

9 t-shirts AND 1 long-sleeved button-up church shirt for only $35.90 

- and that included SHIPPING!

My Amazing Baby Shower!

What an amazing baby shower my friends (especially Michelle T.) threw for me & the twins last week.  Michelle T. had her house looking great with such cute decorations - all pink, blue, and brown.  And there was so much yummy food - Chinese chicken salad, rolls, fruit salsa & chips, punch, cheesecake, and a chocolate fountain with lots of yummy treats to dip in it.  

So many of my friends came (but we didn't get pictures of all of them), and brought me so many great gifts - from clothes, to shoes, to formula, to diapers, to baby blankets, to car seat covers that attach to the handle and keep the sun off the babies, to podee bottles, to the group gift which is the most wonderful stroller ever - the baby jogger city mini double (my SIL Amy researched strollers for twins for me and found this was the best one - and I must agree, even Ed loves it).  Everyone was so thoughtful and generous!

Thanks to all my friends that helped with my shower - it was GREAT!  And thanks to all my friends for all the great gifts and for the amazing group gift that so many contributed to!  You are all wonderful!  Thank you so much!

32 Week Ultrasound!

I am 32 weeks today!!!!!  Yesterday I had an ultrasound and doctor's appointment (and my fabulous baby shower that I will blog once I get all the pictures).  It was a very busy and exhausting day but so much fun.  I love getting to see my babies!  They were both head up this time - but that could change, we will just have to wait and see what they do.  The good news is they are measuring a little ahead - both are measuring 32 weeks 5 days.  And both have doubled in size since their 26 week ultrasound.  Baby girl is 4 lbs 4 oz and baby boy is 4 lbs 8 oz!  Not bad!  This time we were lucky enough to see our little guys profile (he was hiding last time).  We even got to see him swallow.  But our little girl was hiding too far back for us to see her face - luckily, we saw her face last time.  

Both seem to be doing great and growing at the same rate - which is extremely good!  I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks and start weekly non-stress tests (monitoring each baby for an hour) next week.  So, we are getting close to them coming - at most only 42 days left!
