New & Improved Blog

I finally did it!  I finally changed my blog.  I was told by several people that my old blog name wouldn't work since I was having and now have a girl.  So, my new blog is now
6 since there are 6 boys in our family (including Ed)
2 since there are 2 girls (finally)
The name of my blog is now A Bunch of Boys, A Princess, and Me!  I am so excited to have a little girl (I am very happy to have Cameron too, I just waited so long for a little girl) and get to have a little pink on my blog (which is funny because I am NOT a pink person but I love it for Kesley).

So, go take a look at my new blog.  And don't forget to change any links you have to my blog to my new blog so you can follow all the craziness at our house!

Gavn's 1st Day of Pre-School

Yesterday was Gavin's first day of pre-school.  This is his second year of pre-school so he was very excited to go back to school and see Ms. Suzee - we love Ms. Suzee!  Gavin wanted to have waffles with strawberries on them for his first day back to school.  And of course, when I was taking his picture before we went, he had to make some silly faces - he just wouldn't be Gavin if he didn't!  And I was lazy when I made this page, I used the same layout and design I used for Dallin and Matthew's first day back.

Oh Brecken!

What am I going to do with my sweet little Brecken.  His tonsils are so huge that he won't/can't eat most foods - and the foods he will eat are getting fewer and fewer by the day.  He goes to the ENT in a few weeks and I am HOPING that she will take them out (before he eats NOTHING and he gets sleep apnea like all 3 of his older brothers).

Yesterday, I was trying to get him to eat ANYTHING for breakfast without much luck.  I put ONE piece of Captain Crunch in front of him - he pushed it away.  I pushed it back - I should not have done that.  He started to GAG because it was too close to him and then he threw up!  Seriously, who throws up just by looking at a piece of Captain Crunch - broccoli I would understand, but a sugary cereal?  Good thing I love this little guy!

Tummy Time

I finally realized the other day that I NEVER put the twins on the floor or give them tummy time (probably because there is a 21 month old running around that wouldn't think twice about running over them and/or jumping on them).   So, when Brecken in playing in the basement or taking a nap (so it is safe), I have been trying to put the twins on their tummies - and they really seem to like it.  It does seem to wear them out - they both fell asleep shortly after being put back on their backs.  It is really fun to watch them try to lift their heads up - they are figuring it out.  And you might be saying to yourself, "who takes so many pictures of babies on the floor?".  Don't worry, I have taken a ton more (I just can't help myself)!!

My Husband Rocks!

A couple of weeks ago, Ed did a
100 mile bike race!
I can't even imagine how hard it was.  And it wasn't just 100 miles on nice paved roads (not that that would have been easy either).  But it was 100 miles up and down mountains in Colorado - it even snowed and hailed on them part of the time.  It is called the Leadville 100.  It is such a huge race that even Lance Armstrong races in it (and of course wins).  Ed did fabulous!  His goal was to do it in under 12 hours (the max in order for your time to be counted and get the cool sweat shirt with your name and time on it and the belt buckle - yes, I said belt buckle).  He ended up doing it in
10 hours and 36 minutes!
I can't even imagine being on a bike for over 10 hours!  Way to go!  You are amazing!

Of course, I was home with all the kids so I wasn't there to take any pictures so I don't have anything to scrapbook or show.  But here is a little video you can watch (about 5 minutes) that shows some of the race - it is absolutely beautiful and crazy.  Apparently, it is going to be a movie that will be in theatres in October.  Take a few minutes and check the video out - it is fun to see some of the trail and how hard it was.  Click here and enjoy!  Maybe when he does it again next year I will be able to go (then again, I might have to wait 2 years before I can go - but that is okay).

Rodeo with Daddy

Way back in June, Ed took the big 3 boys to the rodeo (our friend Jared also went with his cute girl Bailee).  They had a great time - even though it POURED while they were there.  It didn't start until 8:00 pm (which is very late for my boys) so Gavin fell asleep on Ed during it.  The boys' favorite part had nothing to do with an actual rodeo.  Their favorite part was the motorcycles jumping off of ramps.  I'm just glad they had fun!
