Big Pictures for Wall

After my last post of all the pictures of Brecken, I was asked which picture of Brecken I picked to put on the wall.  So, I thought I would post this so you could see all 4 pictures that are on my wall leading to my basement.  I love seeing these little faces everyday!  I can't believe I will be adding 2 more to the wall!

Oh my little Brecken!

Okay - so these pictures are from when Brecken was 7-months old (he is now 15-months old).  I am working on getting an album put together for all of 2008 and these are 2 very simple pages that I just did.  I know it is a LOT of pictures but if you only saw how many I took (over 300) you would realize these 2 pages aren't too many.  That and I just don't want to forget Brecken at this age - I can't ever get it back but I can have pictures of him to help me remember these days!

But since I haven't blogged anything recent (of course, nothing has really happened this week to blog anyway) I thought I would post these 2 pages that I just made.  I love my scrapbooking program (Memory Mixer).  It was so nice (and EASY) to zoom in and out on these pictures and make some in color and some in black & white.

I LOVE this picture by Matthew!

A few weeks ago, Matthew colored this cute picture for me (since then it has been on my frig and will remain for a long time).  He told me it is a picture of me in the hospital with the twins laying on the bed next to me and that there is food and a drink on the table next to me.  What a cute little guy he is.  I just love this picture and thought I would share it!

Family Pictures (way back in August 2008)

Okay - so now that things have calmed down (holidays are over), I am trying to go back and finish up the pages I never got around to doing last year so I can get my first digital scrapbook printed!  Then I have to go back and do 2007 and the end of 2006 (I am so embarrassed to be so far behind - but I was really sick when I was pregnant with Brecken & we had a rough time the first 6 months of his life - and back then, I was doing traditional scrapbooking).

So, here are a lot of the fabulous pictures my adorable cousin (okay, my cousin's wife) Amanda took for us last August.  She does a fabulous job so if you are in AZ, look her up (click here for her photography site).  Or, if we can get enough people up here in UT, she will come up and take pictures.  Anyway, she really does a great job.  I had a hard time picking which ones to scrapbook - hence the 7 pages!  Thanks again Amanda (and Angela - she was here then too and helped with the kids)!

Basketball (again with more to come)

With 4 (and potentially 6) boys, we play a lot of sports.  In October and November it was time for basketball.  Dallin and Matthew took a basketball skills class (again) at The Factory (formerly Open Court).  They love it and learn so much!  This time we even signed them up for games on Saturday - which was a lot of fun and a great experience for the boys.  It is always great to see the boys progress - I could see HUGE improvements in both boys this time.  But I think my favorite part was to see how close Dallin & Matthew are.  Matthew was always happier and did better if he was with his big brother - and Dallin doesn't even mind.  Dallin takes good care of his little brother Matthew!

Fun in the Snow (back in December)

We got a lot of snow in December - which meant a lot of bundling up, playing in the snow, and hot chocolate.  Here are some pictures from some of the fun the boys had with Ed out in the snow.

The Boys' Big Adventure

Ed was able to take some time off over Christmas - and he did a TON with the boys.  One day, he took Dallin and Matthew (Gavin wanted to stay home) on an adventure that included riding TRAX, the Salt Lake City Library, riding Front Runner (the passenger commuter train), and visiting Grandma Jane and O'Pa.  They had a GREAT time!

Happy Sounds Again!

Today I finally got to go back to the doctor and hear TWO little heartbeats!  Twin A's heart rate was 135 and Twin B's heart rate was about 155.  Everything seems to be going well - I am getting huge with no end in sight!

The other good news from today is I got to schedule my ULTRASOUND!  It is scheduled for Wednesday, February 4 at 10:00 am (as long as that time works for Ed).  Yeah!  I can't wait to make sure these little ones are healthy and to find out what they are.  If you want, you can vote for what you think the twins will be.  You have 27 days to vote!

Brecken's Favorite Chair

Okay - so it really isn't a chair but it is to Brecken.  Not only is it his "chair", it is his favorite place to be.  If he is unhappy, I can put him in his "chair" (luckily, he can climb in and out by himself) and he will be happy - especially if I put on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Toy Story (I know he shouldn't watch so much TV but it is saving me these days).  And don't you love his "pacifier".  He has to have a sippy cup with him (and only this kind) and he doesn't care if it has anything in it - he just has to suck/bite on it.  Gotta love the way this little guy thinks!

Annual Ski Day at Brighton

What a fun day the boys had with Ed up at Brighton last week!  We try to take the boys skiing over Christmas break every year - this year, of course, I couldn't ski (or snowboard).  But I didn't want to miss out on all the fun (neither did Gavin).  So, Gavin & I drove up to eat lunch with "the guys", take pictures, and let Gavin take a run with Ed.  I was totally exhausted from our big day but I am so glad we went.  It was so much fun to see Dallin go down the runs all by himself, to see Matthew get brave on the last run (okay - I only saw that in the pictures Ed took - I was home by then), and to see the pure joy on Gavin's face when he got to the bottom of the run he took with his daddy!

Christmas Day

Our boys are great!  They didn't even get up until 7:30 - and Brecken didn't get up until we were pretty much done opening presents around 8:30.  Christmas was day was pretty low key as well.  We opened presents and played at home all day!  The boys all loved their presents - Dallin got an art easel, Matthew got Super Mario Galaxy (the only thing he wanted), and Gavin got a GeoTrax airport.  Oh, Brecken got a thing with a mirror that plays music.  They also each got a game and some little things (watches, Mario t-shirts), science kits, and games.  So, Ed and the boys spent the rest of the day assembling toys and playing with everything.  I mostly rested on the couch (what a surprise).  It was a good Christmas!

Christmas Eve

We had a very low key, but nice, Christmas Eve this year.  We stayed home and my mom cooked us a great dinner (while I rested on the couch). Ed's brother Richard came over.  Normally we play games, sing songs, read the story of Christmas and act it out.  This year, I was just too sick.  So, at Dallin's request, we had a Christmas Parade (just the boys), sang a few songs, and then the boys went to bed (of course, Brecken was in bed before 7:00).  Even the adults were in bed by 10:00 p.m.  The kids still had fun so it was a good night!
